WHERE HAS LIFE GONE?

Posted by cyncatlett on February 22, 2016 at 2:10 PM Comments comments (0)

As my grandchildren are graduating high school, attending college, getting married, I sit and wonder where did the time go?  I thought that as i got older time would slow down but it seems to be just the opposite. As life flies by do you ever wonder why life is so hard?  Why there are so many battles, failures, losses, and just plain hurt?  This past year has been a year of turmoil, confusion, hurt and loss for me.  But.., I must remember God never wates a thing,  He will use all that has gone down in my life this past year to bring about great things in the next year.  Joy is coming, my dear friends! The answer to all our questions is: "He has taken me on apath that highlights my need for Him.  My strengths are irrevelant and my weaknesses are glaringly evident.  Through the Aridity of these desert marches, He has drawn me closer and closer. "  I have realized that needing Jesus is the key to knowing Him intimately!  A gift above all gifts! None of us would be in the place we are this moment if we hadn't traveled the journey of the past and fought the battles we have fought.  He is faithful and He will hold eah of us up in His righteous right hand!

'SLOW DOWN'

Keep me focused on You, Jesus!  Help me to remember to "slow down" and wait on You! I want to run to You and to know that You have got "this." Even if i can't "slow down" in the moment let me breathe Your name and claim Your peace.  Your name "JESUS" is a mighty and strong tower.  I rest in You! I realze I am nothing with out my faith in You.  I want to trust You even more and want You to always be in charge of the tinyest details of my life.  I will continue to thank You and trust You no matter what the circumstances around me may look or feel like.  I need You, Jesus!! Rip my hands off of my life Jesus!

Contentment

This world is cruel!  Our flesh is weak and susceptible to hurts, moods, and to the circumstances we live in. We think "I can't do this," but Jesus shows us it doesn't matter what is happening in our life,  our soul is indestructable and eternal!  It belongs to HIm! Our flesh might be destroyed but our soul is His and it will be with Him eternally. Do the things in this world hurt?  Yes!  But the Word tells us in 2 Corinthians 4:8, though i am hard pressed on every side, i need not be crushed  by my difficulties, my soul is indestructable.  Whoa!  That is a new thought today.  This truth can bring much comfort and contentment  for us today. Our heart and soul are His forever and no one or anything can take that truth from us! His love is unfailing and will take us through each day with a contentment and joy.

Don't give up!

Prayer is a powerful tool! Jesus's heart is only to bless us. Hold onto Him and continue to take your petitions before Him. I have been praying for over 17 years that my son would return to Jesus. As of today I can tell you without a doubt that my son's heart belongs to Jesus! This has come about only throuh prayer. Keep praying and trusting the King of Kings! He will show up!

His Presence

As I sat this am and I was reading "Jesus Calling' I realized that my heart is healing in the presence of my Jesus! He says He is leading me in a way that is only right for me! I'm asking Him to hold onto me, and to breathe on me for I need Him so desperately! As the assaults to my heart continue to come He is telling me to stay close to Him so that I can still love others more freely! Make Your presence be enough Jesus! I want to stay in the cleft of His rock and as the world roars around me I will be in Him and therefore all will be well!

Resting

What level of pressure and stress, busyness and distraction do you live with on a daily basis---and just accept as inevitable? Does seeking God's counsel on your time and schedule come easy for you? If not, ask yourself why not? What is your major concern about turning your time and schedule over to the Almighty God? These are hard questions but they are questions to help you stop and examine your heart. Examine where your relationship to Jesus is at this very moment! He is waiting to just spend time with you, He is waiting to hear your heart and then to come into that heart and give you life and life abundantly! Where are you in this moment?

Longings and Desires

When we bury the deep longings of our heart it is not a good thing. When we bury our longings we begin to shut our hearts down. After we shut our hearts down then we begin to think that we just need to "get on with life." To me this means i must "just" get things done. When I begin to feel like this I begin to lose my passion and the joy of life begins to fade away. The ache of these unmet longings will affect the way I live. Have you ever ask yourself how the unmet longing of your life affect the life you live? I'm so thankful that we cannot force our longings down forever, and the hurting of our hearts will insist on some attention. What is pulling on your heart today? Where are you going to give your heart passion and life? Again I ask the question, "What brings you joy and gives you energy"?

Life without the Edge

Stress is so different today than it was in Bible days!  Life was so much slower just 50yrs ago!  We had time at then end of each day to sit and recover from a long and stressful day.  We could sit on the front porch and just sit, can you even remember an evening like this?  We are so far away from the way we were designed by the God of the universe.  Today we are streched beyond the limits of our physical and mental abilities.  We have lost "RECOVERY TIME!"

How do we fix this dilelmna?  SLOW DOWN! STOP MULTITASKING! TAKE DEEP BREATHS! GO OUTSIDE AND JUST ENJOY GODS BEAUTIFUL CREATION!  Down time!  Do you even remember what down time looks and feels like?  It is cruical to your spiritual well being.  John 15: 5-10 tells us to live by His ways, stay connected to Him, abide in His love, and to love others.  Then you will have peace and His joy!  Oh to be more like Jesus!

Take time to slow down and enjoy the Father and His beautiful creation!  Your heart will be enenrgized and your soul will smile as you enjoy your loving Father!

Who Is God in me?

As I was in my quiet place this morning, this is the question that was brought to my attention.  I'm not sure about the answer to this question.  He is strength, He is laughter, He is joy, He is compassion, He is conviction, He is His word, He is mercy, He is a warrior, He is emotion, He is healer,  and He is love.  Now are all those things in me?  I think the answer is yes, they are all in me, but I have a choice to allow them to operate in me.  I want all of these things to be who God is in me! Keep me before you Jesus!
